ActiVHeat MOTO12 Heated Sock Liners
Operating Instructions
DO THIS NOW: Check sock liner sizing is correct before opening other packages.
Thank you for your purchase of the ActiVHeat MOTO12 Heated Sock Liners. These liners were designed by ActiVHeat to fit comfortably beneath an outer riding boot and preferably over a thin inner sock and provide pleasant, comfortable far infra-red heat when used properly.
IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS:
1. DON’T REMOVE SOCK LINER WITHOUT FIRST OPENING VELCRO CLOSURE.
2. To avoid internal damage, remove sock liner by opening Velcro style closure, gently pulling down the sock from the rear of the cuff, inverting the sock as it is removed.
3. These liners get HOT and MUST be used with a heat controlling device andNEVER be directly connected to a vehicle or using an on/off switch.
Connecting sock liners through pants liner:
These sock liners are designed to be connected to many heated pants liner ankle leads or to be used on their own. Follow the manufacturer’s requirements for connecting socks to a heated pant liner and ensure you are using a suitable heat controller. Never operate a heated pant liner or heated sock liners without a variably-adjustable temperature controller. Begin with a medium heat setting, adjusting the temperature as required. This installation is ideal for operation in winter months while riding on snowmobiles, ATV's, and motorcycles.
Connecting sock liners directly with a single controller:
If you are using your sock liners without a heated pants liner, you will need to connect your socks to the vehicle's battery. To do this, you will need to connect and install the direct-to-battery harness to the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the battery. This cable is provided with all of ActiVHeat's Controllers. See installation instructions for the harness for more information.
1. You will then need to bring the power to the socks through the use of our included electrical splitter cable. This splitter cable needs to be run on the inside of your pant legs and be connected to each sock liner. Never use the electrical splitter cable externally to outer riding pants, they are only designed to be run internally under outer pants.
2. Once each splitter cable lead plugs are run down the pant legs, connect the socket on each of the socks to the plugs and connect the other end of the splitter cable to the controller.
3. Begin with a medium heat level setting, adjusting the temperature as desired.
Usage and Care Instructions
Your sock liners are hand washable with a mild detergent. Rinse and hang dry. Do not wring excess water as this can damage the liner. Do not dry in clothes dryer. Do not dry clean. Do Not Bleach, Do not Iron.
